RESPONDING TO IMMIGRANT DETENTION IN PRIVATE PRISONS: Info session

  • Multnomah Friends Meetinghouse 4312 Southeast Stark Street Portland, OR, 97215 United States (map)

Pedro Sosa, Director of Project Voice Immigrant Rights Program of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) will present information and engage us in interactive activities
to better understand the devastating effect of private prisons on immigrant
detainees and their families. We will learn ways to be allies to immigrants
and to resist the inhumane treatment which serves to enlarge corporate
profits. Immigrants belong in our communities, not in private prisons. All
are welcome to attend.

Childcare will be provided.
