Definitions of Sanctuary (From Sanctuarynotdeportation.org)

  • “Offering” Sanctuary: Our congregation commits to offer physical sanctuary (now or in the future) to an immigrant facing a final order of deportation.
  • “Supporting” Sanctuary: Our congregation commits to stand in solidarity with the Sanctuary Movement and to partner in hospitality work, logistical support and advocacy efforts.
