Ways to Support

Founded in 2006, IMIrJ, the Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice is an organization formed by diverse faith communities, faith leaders and individuals called by our conscience to respond actively and publicly to the suffering of our immigrant kin in the United States due to unjust immigration policies.

As a 501c3 organization, we depend on individual, congregational, and foundation donations.

“Thank you for securing our status as a sanctuary city and state.”

  • Become a recurring donor today and join a thriving community of people devoted to justice for immigrants, migrants, and asylum seekers.

  • Make a one-time gift today! IMIrJ helps fund the change we need in Portland, making our city and state a safer and more welcoming place for newcomers.

  • Partner Congregation - allows your community to engage at an appropriate level for you.  We’re ready to discuss what you’re ready to do, as our communities grow together. Please feel free to contact me, Reverend Barbara Prose at keren@imirj.org

  • Donate By Mail - Mail your donation check payable to IMIrJ, PO Box 18064 Portland, OR 97218

  • Matching gifts - Thousands of companies match donations to nonprofit organizations. Does yours?

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees and retirees. The impact of your gift to IMIrJ may be doubled or possibly tripled!

If your company offers matching gifts, request a matching gift form from your employer, fill it out and sign it, and then send it to IMIrJ with your gift. We will do the rest!

  • Supported 83 people enter short-term housing

  • Helped 50 people into more permanent housing

  • Served 97 community members through our accompaniment program in 2023

  • Trained 60 accompaniers to provide an average of two to four accompaniments per week (in 2023)

  • Accompanied more than 100 people

Thanks!

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our donors and community.
